2. Definitions
- Client: a natural person, legal person or organisational unit that orders a consultation through the website legalife.pl.
- Consumer: a Client who is a natural person and concludes the contract for purposes not directly related to their business or professional activity (also a sole trader for whom the contract has no professional character, art. 38a of the Polish Consumer Rights Act).
- Consultation: an individual advisory meeting with a LegaLife consultant on the legal stay and work of foreigners in Poland, held online (video call or phone) or at our office, in English, Spanish, Ukrainian or Polish.
3. Scope of the consultation
The scope of each consultation package is described on the offer page at the moment of ordering. A consultation is general information and guidance based on the facts given by the Client. It is not legal representation before public authorities and does not guarantee any decision by those authorities. Representation in proceedings can be ordered separately, under a separate agreement.
4. Ordering and conclusion of the contract
- To order, the Client chooses a consultation package, fills in the order form, accepts these Terms and pays the price.
- The contract is concluded when the payment is confirmed. The Client receives a confirmation of the order by e-mail.
- Within one business day after payment, a consultant contacts the Client by e-mail or phone to agree the date, time, form (online or at the office) and language of the consultation.
- Technical requirements: a device with internet access, an up-to-date web browser, an active e-mail address and, for online consultations, a phone or video-call application agreed with the consultant.
5. Prices and payment
- Prices are given in Polish zloty (PLN) and are gross prices (they include VAT where applicable).
- Payment is made in advance online through the payment operator Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (cards and other methods shown at checkout). LegaLife does not see or store full card details.
- A receipt or invoice is issued for each payment. If you need an invoice for a company, enter the company name and tax ID (NIP) in the order form.
6. Rescheduling and no-shows
- The Client may move the agreed date free of charge if they tell us at least 24 hours before the consultation.
- If the Client does not attend an agreed consultation without notice, we offer one new date. If that date is also missed, the service is treated as performed.
- If LegaLife has to cancel a date, we propose a new one or, at the Client’s choice, refund the full price.
7. Right of withdrawal (consumers)
- A Consumer may withdraw from the contract within 14 days of its conclusion without giving a reason, by sending a statement to kontakt@legalife.pl or to the address of our office.
- If the Consumer asks for the consultation to take place before the end of the 14-day period, and the consultation is then fully provided, the right of withdrawal is lost (art. 38 sec. 1 point 1 of the Polish Consumer Rights Act). The Consumer gives this request and confirmation with a checkbox at checkout.
- If the Consumer withdraws after the service has started but before it has been fully provided, they pay for the part provided up to the moment of withdrawal.
- Refunds are made within 14 days, using the same payment method the Client used. Details: Cancellation and refund policy.
8. Complaints
- Complaints about the service can be sent to kontakt@legalife.pl or to the address of our office. Please describe the problem and what you expect.
- We answer within 14 days of receiving the complaint, by e-mail.
- Consumers may also use out-of-court ways of resolving disputes, for example the help of a municipal (district) consumer ombudsman or the Provincial Inspectorate of Trade Inspection (Wojewódzki Inspektorat Inspekcji Handlowej).
9. Personal data
Personal data are processed according to our Privacy Policy.
10. Final provisions
- Polish law applies. This does not take away any protection that a Consumer has under the mandatory law of the country where they live.
- We may change these Terms for important reasons (for example a change in the law). Orders placed before a change follow the Terms in force when they were placed.
